Beckley, W.Va. (AP) -- Doctors, lawyers, scientists and former professional athletes are among 92 people who will be inducted into the West Virginia All Black Sports & Academic Hall of Fame.

The second round of inductees will be honored Sept. 5-7 during ceremonies at the Charleston Marriott.

Ninety-four people were inducted in the first round in April.

Attorney Helen L. Jackson-Gillson of Weirton is the hall of fame's President and Founder.

She says the goal of the hall of fame is to preserve the history of the state's 38 black public schools that existed before desegregation.
