None of this happened until they closed lunch. I think people are just angry that they can't go out and are trying to get back at the school systems. It's ridiculous.

It's a shame that kids trying to get an education are put through this time and time again.I am very angry at the whole situation. A form is given to the parents the first week to fill out. It asks for peoples names/relationships/phone for those who are able to pick up your child if you are unable. Two of those people tried to pick up my child today and were turned away. I like that they are trying to protect my child from kidnapping, but they go to high school. They know who they are able to go with. This was my childs first bomb threat, and wanted to come home, but was denied. That to me is WRONG! Those that were allowed, had long wait times to get their child.A new system needs to be put in place for this. What would happen if this was real? The edline didnt even notify me until 2 1/2hours AFTER the threat.I think if it was real, no call would be made, it would just happen. But I am not willing to take the risk. If I send for my child, he should be allowed to leave.

This is so sad. I graduated from south 20 years ago and this kind of thing was never heard of and if someone did something this stupid, they were caught in just a few days and dealt with. Now our police officers are so over worked and under paid, they are being taken advantage of by some young punks that have nothing better to do. I say we start catching these sicko's and either cutting off their fingers or lockin them up for a few years. I know that these calls can be traced to where they come from so what is the problem. Sadly, if the schools don't get the kids out, something bad might happen and that would be the most vial thing imaginable.

Medical Tents to keep the students in? That seems odd. Why?

There is a comment posted at 1122 from "Mom of 3" that they were sitting up medical tents in the field house and not allowing the kids (except football players) to leave. The threat didn't come in until 1108 and the school wasn't evacuated until the same time as your comment was posted so how would you know what they were going to do and not going to do before you posted your comment? My nephews go to PHS and are not football players and were picked up as soon as they called my sister to let her know what was going on. I am sorry but there is no school going to tell me I am not allowed to get my child while this is going on, if you want to pick up your daughter..go get her, they can't stop you. This is nuts that our children can't go to school and feel safe because some punk thinks they are funny or didn't study for a test.

I think that the police and maybe the FBI needs to find out who is doing these stupid stunts and have him or her arrested for calling in bomb threats. It's bad enough when we are in the middle of a war with terrorists and these idiots thinks it's all fun and games. Whelp, it's not a d I hope who ever is doing this gets punished whatever the law allows, regardless if these idiots are teens or not.

It's always agrevating to see Bomb Threats occuring at school's. I wonder what is pushing the person to call in the threat?

This is getting way out of hand. My daughter is a senior at PHS. 1st threat this year, wonder how many more. My question today is, why are the setting up medical tents in the field house and keeping students in there for the rest of the day? This makes no sense to me. My daughter called me and said they are not even going to let the students have lunch. How much more do the students have to go through, if they are not allowed back to class then let them go home. We were told by several of the football players that when a threat like this comes in they are allowed to leave, why?
