Some hungry mouths in Belpre are one step closer to getting fed.
And it's all thanks to local law enforcement!
Friday morning, the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol delivered 1,168 pounds of food to the Belpre Area Ministries Food Pantry.
All of the food was collected by troopers in front of the Belpre Kroger last Saturday and every morsel will stay right in the community where it was collected.
The troopers also presented the Belpre area food ministries, which operates out of Rockland Church, a $500 dollar check.
That money will be used to purchase more food for the local community.
