A Wheeling man was sent to a Parkersburg hospital after officials say he fell asleep at the wheel and flipped his car several times.

It happened on Route 2 in St. Marys.

Officials say Adam Michael Rose told them he was driving toward Parkersburg when he dozed off.

They say the car rolled over several times and hit multiple signs before coming to a rest.

Fortunately, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle on his own.

Rose was taken to Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
