Two of Ohio's largest daily newspapers have endorsed Barack Obama in his Presidential race against John McCain.

The Dayton Daily News and The (Toledo) Blade announced their decisions in editorials published Sunday.

The Dayton paper describes both candidates as "thoughtful, modern people" alert to the problems of the world and the nation.

But it calls Democrat Obama the more promising leader and says Republican McCain has run a disappointing campaign offering virtually no vision of where he would take the country.

The Blade calls McCain "firmly rooted in the failed politics and policies of the past." by comparison, it says Obama is a "man of the future" who has shown during the campaign that he has the ability to inspire voters.

Err.. Big Business controls the Electorial Votes that actually decide the outcome. We just get to vote to feel like the little guy matters. My prediction? McCain will steal the election as planned. He will get ill, Palin will be be the first Woman President, she will get credit for saving the World and it's economy by being instrumental in the 700 Billion bailout that Bush started. It's like a soap opera.

I think the choice is pretty clear this year. Obama is a good candidate and John McCain is a terrible one. McCains campaign has been disorganized and erratic from the start. I bet there are many other republicans who could have given Obama a run for his money. But I am a long time republican voting for Obama in 08.
