Many people like to go out and look at Christmas lights, but a class at St. Marys elementary has the ability to sit in a "winter wonderland" all day long.

Ted Thompson's second grade class is decorated from wall to wall, and ceiling to floor with Christmas decorations.

Thompson says he spent the entire weekend covering the classroom with "snow", lights and animated toys; many of which he made himself.

He says he does it all to help put his students in the holiday spirit.

"My favorite is the Christmas tree," Katie Tawney, a student, said.

"I like the Grinch snowman. He's really cool," Bobby Kent, a student, said.

"I love the Christmas tree. I love the whole thing because Mr. Thompson does it for everybody," Raeley White, a student, said.

Thompson has been decorating his classroom for various holidays for about 12 years.

The folks that operate this restaurant are such nice people! They always remember our order without asking us what we want! It is a shame that this had to happen, particularly here at Christmas. Hope the guilty party is found!
