They've already received one award; having the title as state champs.

Now coaches and players with the Williamstown High School football team are being recognized by the Wood County Commission.

The commission met with some of them today to congratulate them for their hard work and for bringing the state title to Wood County.

Coach Terry Smith gave the players a short break after their big win, but said they'll begin conditioning for next season Monday.

Congrats to the Williamstown football team.As a 1969 grad from WHS,this has been along time coming. This championship could not go to a better fan base. The fans have supported all WHS sports teams thru the good and bad times. If I have my facts correct the Football team since the 2000 season has won 104 games and lost 13.What a run.Once again congrats to all of Williamstown,we have always been winners despite all odds.Keep the wins coming!!!!
