A Marietta man charged with rape, kidnapping, and child pornography remains behind bars Wednesday.

Since his arrest, more boys, under the age of 18, are being interviewed by police as potential victims of Daniel Keck.

42-year old Keck was arrested this past weekend after one juvenile victim came forward.

Police say Keck has lived in the area for about 20 years and gained trust from many young boys and their parents.

Police are in the process of interviewing the potential victims and say they are expecting more to come forward.

"A lot of the parents really believed he was a good guy. He was sort of a mentor to the children, when in reality he was putting up a good facade, and behind closed doors was an entirely different story," Cpt. Jeff Waite with the Marietta Police Department said.

Keck is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on a one million dollar bond.

His preliminary hearing is set for Thursday afternoon.

Evey sign is there. He has people trusting him, including you. That was his plan all along. These guys actually can be good guys with a major flaw. But the "flaw" is sometimes uncontrollable. The definition "rape" does not mean there was physical violence, it means the "victims" were under the age of 13 in this case.I believe he did love these families and these boys, but his "flaw"or bad wiring as some would say),prevented his rational thinking from taking over.Let's start a new debate that we haven't heard yet.Ask yourself if you are a religious person. If so,Who wired Mr Keck to have these feelings toward boys? It's not how he trained himself to feel. It's how he was born. Some are born with homosexual tendencies. Some born to be straight.Or ponder what some experts say. We are all born the same and at 10-12yr we get experimental. We have ALL had a gay reationship in some form. That was an experimental stage of life. OR why did God make it possible for 12year olds to reproduce? hmmmmmmm

THe community has sentenced this man and no evidence has even been shown to the judge. I believe we still have due process of law, innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and a right to have a fail trial - none of which are happenin in this case. Sounds fishy to me. I'm sure the news station is getting perks for increased rating and makes me wonder which local officials are up for re-election. I have a feeling that if the news media would follow the money-greed trail they would find the REAL STORY. News people aren't always given accurate information.

What i think now? i think this trial is going way too far. Mr. Keck doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He has never showed getting mad. I don't believe he has ever even yelled at anyone! Rape is a sign of controlling someone and being aggressive. Even throughout this trial, he has not gotten mad, yelled or anything. He is sitting in a cell reading the Bible getting closer to God. Why can't people see that the media is taking it more than what it is. In this trail, he is being guilty and we are trying to prove him innocent; when it should be he is innocent until proven guilty. Currently though, i'm glad that he stays there in jail for now, because i have a feeling that if he would get out, someone would kill him, there has been many threats on that, so he is safer there. People need too look past this and find HARD EVIDENCE that he did this, and not just accusations because he had kids there because he is like a father to them!...So Crystal...that is what I think!

ok i have known this man for a long time and you people that are saying these comments dont now who he is.he may not be who i thik he is but dan was a christian guy and he and what i found out was his parents said to us that he said he him self was praying and he asked them to send him a bible and this evening his parents went to the trail and this parient went up to his parents and said when she was cring say he never would do this she said he mad an improvment on her son because the boys father had died and dan helped out there family.so if any body is going to say anything like he should be sentenced or anythig like that think before say but if he is gilty i wont blam you but now dont say anthing that horrible his family (wich is me)is looking so keep horrible comments to your self that are mean and bad please.

This man would never do such things. He has helped out several of famlys and he helped them with the payments and other problems and if the parents had no were for the kids to sleep they would ask him the kids he help watch said will stay at dans house because he is great and i think the news media is taking it to far if the people new the man that were calling in saying these such things it would of never been this way the man was trying to help the familys out.
