The super bowl is just days away and many local bars and restaurants are doing more than providing folks with an exciting football atmosphere.
They're also helping keep the roads safe.
Marietta Memorial Hospital is teaming up with 31 establishments in Wood and Washington Counties.
They will be providing free non-alcoholic beverages to designated drivers.
Those involved say it's the least they can do to make sure people stay safe while having fun.
"In our line of work it's very important to make sure everyone gets home safe. We're open later in the evening in most cases. It's important people take the extra precaution and extra time to get home, or make the arrangements to get home safely," Jason Ware, manager of Marietta Brewing Company, said.
