I am a mother of two whose husband is diabled. I have not had any kind of health insurance in a very long time. My husband draws diability and the kids and I draw a spindown of his check. We can not afford to pay for me to have medical insurance because what we make is just enough to get by on but yet the state does not want to help me. I feel as though I am not the only one in this situation. Are they kidding me when they say that a person can only make less then $5,000 to be below the poverty line. Have they looked around the poverty level in this community alone is running rampid. And they say that the poverty is $5,000. When are they going to help people on Social Security who aren't old enough for medicare, or widows who draw a small pension off of their husband, or ppl like myself that who can not work because their husband is disabled. Gov. Joe when are going to help those who are trying to help themselves and not those who aren't trying to help themselves.
