The Parkersburg area community foundation has established the Jessica Lynch Fund, to benefit Wirt County's educational, civic, educational and charitable organizations.
Unlike other fundraisers established since Jessica’s capture and rescue in Iraq, it doesn't benefit Lynch or her family.
The fund was actually established three months ago, but its announcement was timed to follow Private First Class Lynch's homecoming late last month.
