Authorities have busted a meth lab in Washington County off of County Road 3 on Tadpole Run road.

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriffs Department have arrested Ryan Nichols and Erin Dutton.

Officials say in April the Sheriff's Department received a tip from a local pharmacy and have been investigating ever since.

Officials also say the meth lab, that was operated in a trailer, was not a large operation, but the individuals were making enough drugs to supply others.

Nichols and Dutton are currently in the Washington County Jail facing two felony counts of drug-related charges.

you people have no idea what you are talking about unless you have been "inside" their circle. Ryan had a rough life and I know that is no excuse.he had a good girlfriend who had him on the right path a couple years ago. She also got mixed up with the same bad crowd and things went down hill. i saw her not too long ago when i was getting my hair done and she has done really well so that just shows there is still hope for him. all im saying is the people you run with reflect who you are and influence everything you do. Ryan is a great guy mixed up with the wrong crowd. As for Erin, there is no hope for someone like her. She lies alot to and about Ryan and it will be no shock to me when Ryan finds out about her skeletons and moves on with his life getting back on the right road that she "drug" him off of.

People, seriously. We all make choices in life. We know there are consequences for our actions. Surely she knew that brewing up a meth lab wouldn't lead to anything productive. Don't try to praise her, she hasn't been the perfect individual. Blaming someone else for her faulty decisions is ridiculous. Ryan Nichols might not be a model citizen, but in no way does that intitle her a brush off. They both deserve to do their time. Period. Neither of them are people I would allow to involve myself with, regardless of if this happend or not. They both have history of issues, and I feel no remorse as they sit in a cell.

People need to quit pointing the fingers. Ryan and Erin have been two self destructing people since they were young. Many people have tried to help them through their life. Now, they are two grown adults that found each other and between the two it only spells disaster. I hope they get the help they need, and start making the right choices. We get one chance in this life. Drugs will lead to one thing. Death or prison. No ones family is to blame. Alot of spoiled kids don't end up into drugs. Please quit trying to blame others. The parents of these adults are suffering enough. As long as you can breathe, you can always change if you make the right choice.

This is a lesson to women who choose poor stepfathers for their children. They grow up to be adults with serious issues and put the rest of society in danger. Treat your children as the treasures they are and don't accept less from anyone else.

To Duke you think the first time they should get 30 years. They don't even hand that sentence to people for attempted murder. I think if you think real hard you will know someone you care about that has done drugs everyone knows atleast one. I was told by a very smart woman one time that she was into drugs real bad for years. Her father told her as long as she was alive ther was hope. Years later she became a very good attorney and gave alot back to Marietta. Just alittle food for thought. People do change some don't but alot of people do. I pray you never have kids on drugs god forbid you would just through them away.

why do all the drug stories get published from washington county? because the sherriff over here doesn't chose favorites. i remember not to long ago a parkersburg fireman was on tv from being arrested for drunk driving. what happened to him? nothing. i know. i know that fireman. i know seeral other cases as well. mincks over here doesn't care who you are. if you do the crime you will do the time. as for erin she was a bartender in a known bar to purchase these things. i actually beleive she drug ryan in this one. she isn't a angel. shes been running the bars in marietta for a while now.

This goes to show that drugs do not discriminate. No matter what kind of background you come from. There is no one but themselves to blame as you control your own destiny.I know Erin, she always thinks of herself and is irresponsible.I don't know if the drugs turned her into this kind of person or if she's always been this way.Time to face the music and hopefully they both come out better people after their time is done.

I know Ryan really well and he comes from a decent family also. Erin and Ryan are both adults and can make their own choices. Obviously they both knew this was illegal and wrong, therefore they BOTH deserve to be punished. No one should feel sorry for either of them at this point. One would have to think that she was in this long before she started seeing Ryan since they have not been together for very long. I seriously doubt she just started this within the last few weeks. Also, instead of feeling sorry for either of these two, think about the other people such as children and families that this affects. I know very well this is a total embarrassment to Ryan's son especially since his son comes from a great family. So maybe people should feel sorry for him and his family instead of either of these sad adults that knew very well what they were doing was illegal.

Why do all the drug stories seem to come from Washington County? Is the problem there that much worse or less people being caught in Wood or are the stories not followed as closely?
