UPDATE: Murder Suspect Out On Bond

The Jackson County, Ohio man accused of shooting two people earlier this week in Gallia County is out on bond this evening.

The Gallia County Prosecutors office says the 76 year old Walter Stewart of Wellston has posted his bond.

That bond was set at two million dollars.

Stewart of Wellston is charged with two counts of aggravated murder and one count of attempted murder.

Gallia County Officials say Stewart shot Carolyn Merry and John Holley to death near Holley Brothers Stone Quarry.

Officials say they believe Stewart and the victims may have been in a business dispute.

Bail for the suspect in a Gallia County shooting Tuesday has been set at $2 million.

76-year-old Walter Stewart of Welston, Ohio is charged with two counts of aggravated murder and one count of attempted murder.

Gallia county officials say Stewart shot Carolyn Merry and John Holley to death near Holley Brothers Stone Quarry.

Officials say they believe Stewart and the victims may have been in a business dispute.

Stewart remains behind bars in the Gallia county jail this afternoon.

It happened Tuesday at a stone yard near State Route 588 just outside of Gallipolis.

Gailia County Sheriff officials say Carolyn Merry and John Holley were shot to death near Holley Brothers Stone Quarry.

Authorities say shooting suspect Walter Stewart from Welston, Ohio has been arrested.

Officials say they believe Stewart and the victims may have been in a business dispute.

The bodies have been taken to Dayton, Ohio for autopsies.

    are you kidding me???? this is crazy people lost there lives bc of hima and he's running free...what has this world came to..my brother was murdered and let me tell ya idk what i would have done if the person that killed him was running around free

    Wow he paid the bond for 2 million. If I am correct that would be $200k in cash money.
