Sandusky, Ohio (AP) -- Business owners in northern Ohio are riding to the rescue of a motorcycle rally that draws thousands of bikers to Lake Erie.
Organizers of Ohio Bike Week had been worried that some events during the 10-day festival in Sandusky would be canceled after the closing of a Harley-Davidson dealership that was the main sponsor.
But other businesses have stepped in to help provide money for security at the event and to print visitor guides for those coming to the bike week.
The event began in 2001 and now includes live music, races and stunt demonstrations. It is scheduled this year for June 5-14.
