You may know her from Dancing With The Stars or maybe her debut self-titled country album. Monday Julianne Hough performed at Marietta College and spoke with WTAP before she went on stage.
Hough said even though she was discovered as a dancer she has always had dreams of becoming a country music singer.
Now she's touring with George Strait and doing some of her own concert's like Monday night's concert at the Dyson-Baudo Recreation Center at Marietta College.
Hough said she plans on taking a break from Dancing with the Stars next season in order to focus more on her music career.
She's writing music for her next album and hopes to have her next single out by the end of this summer.
We asked about rumors that she might have the lead female role in the remake of "Footloose."
"I'll just say this I'm very blessed that I have opportunities to go out and read for things and you know I've done other auditions and stuff but I don't want to say anything until it's a 100% thing you know so it's just cool that I've gotten this far. We'll just say that," said Hough.
Last year Hough met fellow country singer Chuck Wicks while on tour with Brad Paisley and they've been dating ever since.
Hough says they're still going strong but there aren't any wedding plans yet.
Also newcomers "Love and Theft" and Akron natives "The Carter Twins" opened for Hough.
