Cincinnati (AP) -- The city of Cincinnati has a new capital "C" logo to put on vehicles, signs and letterhead.
Officials say the letter in shades of blue and green gives the city a more inviting image and also shows progressive movement and pride.
A formal seal will be reserved for weighty, legal matters.
The same local firm that designed logos for Hershey, Pringles and Pampers -- LPK Leadership Brands -- created the logo.
Macy's, the department store chain based in Cincinnati, covered the $75,000 cost.
The more ornate official seal authorized in 1819 shows a winged rod, two snakes and a sword -- symbols said to depict commerce, justice, wisdom, authority and power.
