Toledo, Ohio (AP) -- Some people in Ohio are having issues because of the changeover to digital television.

Stations must end their conventional analog broadcasts Friday in favor of digital.

Fox affiliate WUPW in Toledo cut its signal at 8 a.m., and chief engineer Steve Pietras says by 10:15 the station's four-person phone bank had received 40 calls.

Pietras says many callers had put off connecting their converter boxes and needed help.

One caller was completely clueless about the analog shutdown.

People who watch over-the-air television and have an older set need a converter to see digital tv.

Television ratings service nielsen estimated last weekend that tens of thousands of Ohioans weren't ready for the switch.
