Columbus, Ohio (AP) -- An Oio man at the center of a domestic dispute led state highway patrol troopers on a 100-mile chase with his wife and two children in his truck.
State Patrol Sgt. Darren Thomas says the pursuit began Saturday night on the Ohio turnpike after a woman reported being assaulted by her husband.
Thomas says the man blew through a toll booth and headed south on Interstate-77, then came to an abrupt stop after running over spikes placed on the road by troopers.
Thomas says the man fled on foot before he was captured in a nearby wooded area, an hour and a half after the chase began.
He was charged with felony fleeing.
The woman, who stayed on the phone with a dispatcher throughout the ordeal, was treated for face injuries.
The children were not harmed.
