Investigation Continues in Sexual Allegation Case

The investigation continues into allegations of misconduct made against several authority figures in Marietta and Washington County.

At this point, Sergeant Robert Eddy with the Washington County Sheriff's Department has resigned, and Firefighter John Brooks has been terminated from his firefighter position in connection with allegations made by 27-year-old Crystle Phillips.

City officials say Brooks was terminated for, among other things, having sex with Phillips while on duty inside Fire Station #1.

According to personell records, Phillips' juvenile son was taking a tour of the fire station while Brooks took nude photos of her inside the facility.

Two Marietta Police Officers remain on administrative leave while decisions are being made about the allegations.

Officials say Phillips was arrested on drug trafficking charges, and her preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.

I hope the woman involved has an attorney that will demand a change of venue because the jury pool around here has been poisoned.

I am not at all surprised by this. I think they need to weed a few out, get rid of them. This lady (I use the term lady loosely here) should get the same amount of time she would've originally got because obviously she's telling what happened now out of spite. I think they're all disgusting and should be ashamed of themselves and the hurt they're putthing their families through and the mark this is going to leave on the sheriff's office itself. Very sad.

I agree with harry one of the deputies resigned before getting fired and the firefighter confessed to it. So obviously she isn't lieing. I think all of the people should be charged with public indency anyone else would be. If you sell drugs near children it is a bigger charge. I think having sex around them should be the same. As for the person that made the coment about Bill Clinton I guess you didn't watch the news!!!!!!

The woman bought and was on drugs. Why in the world would she care if she had her clothes on when her son took the tour? She hasn't thought about her kids at all. Good grief! Mr. Brooks admitted he had sex with her already, plain and simple and he admitted he had sex and took pictures at the FD. You ever been to the FD when they give tours? It takes awhile and alot of it is done outside, not just on the inside. I'm sure the firefighters don't sit around and watch what each other is doing all day long. Picking one or the other to place blame on isn't the way it works. All of them (her, fire figher and cops) should be held accountable for their own actions. Take her children away from her and terminate them all.

What kind of self respecting woman would do these things with another woman's husband and hurt their families this way? It's just disgusting that this would happen. It's hard enough being a woman as it is. Why do we do these things to eachother? Real classy Crystle Phillips.

How do we know that she is telling the truth? I think that she is trying to get herself out of trouble, what better way? Could she not have said no? if not, then the men in question should be charged with rape! Drug users will steal, even kill so her allegations are probably just as corupt!

Has anyone ever thought this Crystle girl is lying about WHEN this stuff went on? It just sounds to me that she is trying to get anyone she can in trouble to keep HERSELF out of trouble. Sounds like she had this all planned out from the beginning....

I agree with a lot that is being said on the blogs, this type of behavior cannot be tolerated and those involved are getting their due. But, to KAREN & OMG...you talk about the female involved, which I agree she definitely in my book is lower than low but let's not forget the MEN involved here too. How low do they have to be to plan the "tour" with the little boy so this type of disgusting behavior can take place. I just wonder if the fireman or firemen that took him on the tour was in on the "activity" that was taking place - my personal opinion is that OF COURSE THEY WERE. Hopefully the investigation that is/was taking place checks into how many others were aware of or, in fact, also participated. I do feel sorry for the wives and children of these immature idiots, they will be the ones to suffer the embarrassment - especially the children. But, it's just hard to tell how many other times this type of thing has happened. Bet this sure has been an ego buster for them, which is good

Don't believe other firefighters didn't know what was going on when someone was taking the child on a tour......

It was no big deal when Clinton had sex while he was on the phone in the White House.
