Indictments are nothing new to Elder who is already accused of sexually assaulting one of his clients. Wood County prosecutor Ginny Conley presented two indictments against Jeffrey Elder, inducing or procuring perjury or false testimony and attempting to induce perjury or false testimony.
An 18-year old client of Elder's claimed in November 2001 he sexually assaulted her. Earlier this month Elder was arrested and charged with perjury after allegedly giving a witness $3,000 to a witness in the case to deny the charges.
Elder is free on $75,000 bond. Indictments were handed down in the July car theft case, where 18-year old Nathan McDermott, 20-year old Joshua Thompson, and 20-year old Russell Traugh allegedly stole around $30,000 from the trunk of a Williamstown's man Cadillac, they were grand larceny and breaking and entering.
Indictments on other cases we've covered here at WTAP include last month's Parkersburg Pizza Place robbery and June's Napoli's Pizza robbery.
