Cincinnati (AP) -- Airport officials say a Continental Express flight to Newark, N.J., made an emergency return to Cincinnati when a landing gear problem was detected.
Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport spokeswoman Barb Schempf says the pilot of flight 2424 noticed the landing gear did not retract into the belly of the plane right after takeoff from the airport at about 5 p.m. Sunday.
Schempf says the Embraer commuter plane with up to 70 seats landed without incident and the passengers transferred to another aircraft.
They arrived in Newark about two and a-half hours late.
