Kenton, Ohio (AP) -- A landlord has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for the fire deaths of five people in a house trailer he owned in northwest Ohio.

Hardin County Common Pleas Judge William Hart said Monday that Charles Sizemore of Lima knew the risks but rented the dilapidated trailer anyway.

The sentence also calls for Sizemore to spend 500 hours fixing up homes.

Investigators say electrical wiring problems were to blame for the April 2008 fire in Ada.

Fifty-eight-year-old Sizemore said in court that he couldn't afford to make repairs on the trailer but rented it to a family for $100 a month because they'd fallen on hard times.

When Sizemore pleaded no contest to reckless homicide charges in may, the prosecutor had recommended no jail or prison time.

he only got 90 days? that is just wrong. He knew the trailer wasnt safe to live in and yet he rented it anyways, he should honestly get more than 90 days.
