Last Friday the Washington County Sheriff's Office raided the home of a woman who had been allegedly running a dog breeding facility.

Sheriff's officials said they not only found numerous dogs, but also a lot of cash that had been stashed away.

Sheriff officials said that they found more than 200,000 dollars in cash in Sharon Robert's home on 700 Tick Ridge Road.

More than 70 dogs were found. One of those dogs was dead. A veterinarian preliminary report showed the dog that died had parvo, an airborne disease, ring worm and suffered from malnutrition.
Officials said the dogs are still in care of Sharon Roberts, but are being checked in on by humane officers.

Sheriff officials said they are still investigating and anticipate charges to come soon.

------------
Numerous complaints have led Washington County authorities to a possible illegal puppy breeding facility.

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says his department served a search warrant Friday afternoon at Sharon Roberts' residence at 700 Tick Ridge Road.

On the property , officials found nearly 70 puppies of different breeds.

"We did find numerous dogs here. We did find a dead dog here, numerous documents we found inside the home that we're still going through at this point determining our course of action," Deputy Keelin Mcleish said.

Sheriff Mincks says Roberts made a diversion agreement with Wood County after she was found running a similar facility last August.

The agreement states that Roberts will not be prosecuted as long as she doesn't own or operate another breeding facility.

While Roberts isn't facing charges now, officials do say all evidence collected in the investigation will be handed over to Washington and Wood County prosecuting attorneys.

I will be plain and simple you all have to much time on your hands. first of all you are mouthing off about someone you dont even know. An old woman at that what someone does within the limits of the law should be to a persons own and you people should respect that honestly its none of your business what goes on and when judgement day comes it is between the person and god. you people have neither the right nor the authority above almity god to judge someone and therefore you should keep to your self.

Waaaa ,cyber harrassing ??? LOL, you need to stick to the subject and leave religion and senior citizens out of this. You made the comments and I just asked you to prove how and what they had to do with a deplorable illegal puppy mill and how senior citizens more or less controlled the local politicans. I am not trying to control the way you think.I am just asking you to back up your inuendos and generalization with facts. It is a fact there was a deplorable puppy mill but everything else is just speculation on your part. Looks to me like you have as much time on your hands as I do. Stay on the subject you say ? I thought the subject was about a puppy mill, not senior citizens and people attending church. You get called on something and you want to try and turn it around and make it look like someone is picking on you when they challenge your comments. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

These dogs have no interaction with humans other than to be taken from one cage to another to breed or to undergo some sort of grotesque 'at-home' veterinary procedure (debarking, c-sections). They never feel anything under their feet but the wire that makes up the floor of their cages. They live in filth, covered in the excrement that come down from the dogs in the cages above them. The puppies they produce are unhealthy and rarely live longer than a year, and then often cost thousands in veterinary bills for those with the means to try and save the dog. What is it going to take to put an end to this? By the way, the AKC is actively fighting any legislature that would put limits on any breeding, essentially they are promoting the business of puppy mills.

Dean- Stop Cyber Harrassing Me! It is against the law. Why are you constantly trying to provoke a fight with me? Get real-Randy and I are not the same person. Randy, if you are out there, whoever you are, please inform Dean that you are your own person. Can you please stay on subject from now on? I'm sorry you have too much time on your hands and have apparently become obsessed with trying to control control what I think and write/post-so please stop trying.

Tracey, 'offend your delicate male Christian-based ego" That is a mouthful of inuendo, nothing delicate about me,it just tears me up when you have to bring religion into a conversation for sake of argument. Show me some facts where religon played a role in this puppy mill, just show me the facts. What you are saying has no backing what so ever. Do not make all of these connections about anyone unless you can back it up with facts.Show me some hard evidence about the senior citizens getting by with so many crimes. Randy did show me any facts either. Randy is just you creating a user fictional user name, I can tell the way the post was typed,I thought that the other day when I read the post. Tracey I use to read your letters to the editor and they were so off base.

She's a scam artist plain and simple. She got caught in WV and just moved to another state and did it again. How did she get so many dogs already? She needs to be in jail.

how can anyone say this woman is a christian? she is nothing but scum and an embarrassment not only to frinds and family but also to GOD and her church. the laws need to be changed to protect these animals. this time send her to jail for the life expectency of these defenseless animals.the taxpayers are paying for her stupidity right along with any animal she comes in contact with.i commend the police departments and the humane society for their hard work. people like SHARON ROBERTS have no morals or values. all dogs should be removed from her care, and she should sit in JAIL for a long time. as for the prosecuter give him a chance to gather all facts and present an ironclad case and pray the JUDGE hangs her.i saw first hand what her other PUPPYMILL looked like. i am soooo glad she is no relation to me. the filth at the whispering oaks puppymill was truly disgusting. i hope she feels proud of herself for ruining so many lives. how could the st.of ohio if they did give her a BREEDER'S li.

Dean-what is your problem with me? Randy reinforced everything I said in my comments. How come you are fine with him and not with me? Apparently you can only deal with women when they are submissive and go out of their way not to say things that will offend your delicate male Christian-based ego. I only mentioned religion in one other post. What an imagination you have? If you're not married I know the erfect girl for you-she's deaf and blind.

Randy, I am not disputing or denying that anyone is a Christian ( who claims to be) I do not like puppy mills and what Sharon Roberts done by having a puppy mill is deplorable. My beef is Tracey bringing religion into the argument and in general terms, she has done it on other posts on other issues. She is bias in the way she talks. You say Sharon Roberts claims to be a Christian,I have never heard that or seen it mentioned one way or the other. You say she has greased the palms of politicans hands with her money, I have one thing to say and that is prove it to me.I do not know Sharon Roberts and I do not know you,but you are saying stuff that you have nothing to back it up with. You are a good Christian, then why do you come on this forum spewing stuff that you have not one bit of firm evidence to show me where I can see what you are saying is factually true. There is one thing for sure Sharon Roberts was running a puppy mill she was busted and it was disgusting what she was doing.
