It's Homecoming weekend in Parkersburg, and what's Homecoming without the annual parade and talent show?

School bands, sports teams and many community organizations made their way down Market Street Saturday afternoon for the Parkersburg Homecoming Parade.

Some say the parade is one of their favorite homecoming activities, and that it's especially exciting for the children.

Hundreds of folks filled the sidewalks, and watched for more than an hour as the parade went by.

Another Homecoming festivity that brought out a large crowd was the talent show.

Hours after the parade, local people of all ages took the stage to show off their talent.

The show was split into several categories and attracted dozens of participants.

i enjoyed the parkersburg homecoming fireworks with my family, but where did parkersburg get to patrole the water, coastguard i presume, but they weren't checking for lifejackets or alcholics, they were stopping every boat for other boat safety, and were very rude, i am sure we won't go the festival next year

The dogs from the Humane Society were a hit with my family. By far, the Big Red Band, looking sharp and crisp was the best of all.
