Morgantown, W.Va. (AP) -- A minor chemical spill has briefly shut down part of the Health Sciences Center at West Virginia University.
WVU officials issued an alert to evacuate the second floor of Health Sciences North on Monday evening, but spokeswoman Amy Johns says the incident appears to be minor.
Information about the chemical involved was expected to be released later in the evening, but a subsequent alert to students, employees and others said the release was minimal and there was no immediate danger.
