West Jefferson, Ohio (AP) -- Investigators have ruled that a fire that killed a central Ohio woman and her two children last year was a case of arson.

Fifty-one-year-old Billi Romans, her 16-year-old daughter, Ami, and 12-year-old son, Caleb, died in April 2008 when a middle-of-the-night fire swept through their home in West Jefferson, 15 miles southwest of Columbus.

The State Fire Marshal's office said Monday that possible accidental causes have all been ruled out and evidence indicates the fire was set deliberately.

Officials would not discuss the evidence or a possible motive or suspect.

Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information.

Peter Romans, Billi Romans' husband and the children's father, escaped the flames and was treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns.
