Hamilton, Ohio (AP) -- Police have arrested a southwest Ohio woman on murder charges after the baby she reported taken was found in a plastic bag in a garbage can.
Authorities say the five-week-old boy was in an alley behind the woman's home in Hamilton. Butler County coroner Dr. Richard Burkhardt said Tuesday the baby had a crushed skull and broken arm, and had been dead for two days.
The woman was identified as 25-year-old Asuncion Avila-villa.
She called 911 Monday and said the boy had been taken Sunday by his father, a former boyfriend. Police say the father wasn't involved.
The woman was jailed on charges of murder, endangering children, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
