Florida Man Released From Hospital After Two Vehicle Accident

A Florida man has been released from the hospital after a two vehicle accident.

It happened around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Gihon Road and Pike Street in Parkersburg.

Parkersburg Police Sergeant J.D. Hart says driver Jamie Shears of Washington, West Virginia, rear-ended a motorcycle that was stopped at a traffic light.

The impact caused the bike to fall over.

Sergeant Hart says motorcyclist Melbourn Swisher of Florida was taken to the hospital.

He was treated for his injuries and released.

Authorities say Shears was cited for failure to maintain control of her car.
