Martinsburg, W.Va. (AP) -- The widow of a young soldier who died during basic training in Missouri earlier this year is dead after a car crash.

Twenty-one-year-old Danyele Stout of Martinsburg ran off State Route 9 and struck a tree earlier this week.

She was the widow 25-year-old private first class Tyler Stout of Kearneysville, who died during physical training at Fort Leonard Wood in April.

He had been assigned to B Company of the 795th Military Police Battalion.

David Asam, who owns the Bavarian Inn Hotel and restaurant in Shepherdstown, said Wednesday that Danyele Stout worked for him in housekeeping.
