An Ohio man remains behind bars Tuesday morning.

Police say Robert Tinker threatened to shoot someone in Marietta over the weekend.

It happened Saturday night at 10:45 on Front Street in Marietta during the Ohio River Sternwheel festival.

Washington County sheriff officials say 62-year-old Robert Tinker of Galloway was using obscene language in front of children after leaving a bar.

Officials say when he was confronted, Tinker pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot another person.

Tinker has been charged with illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor establishment, using a weapon while intoxicated and aggravated menacing.

He remains in the Washington County jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

It is hard for me to admit, but this man is my father. To those who were involved, witnessed, or threatened, I am so sorry for this inexcusable and despicable act. I am so ashamed. I wish I could apologize to you personally, but I don’t know who you are. There isn’t an excuse and cannot be an excuse for such intolerable behavior, but please know this man was a good person who is now completely and utterly broken. He is clinically diagnosable with bipolar syndrome (manic-depressive). Mental disorders like this are real and are an incredibly difficult problem in our society. A person who doesn’t want to be helped, cannot be helped. Maybe, in his deserved service of time to society that is sure to result, there can be the healing and help that is necessary. I can only hope and say sorry one more time.

I wonder which bar it was... front street? Could of been The Double L, or the Riverside181 I guess... it's funny about this. I own the Locker Room Sports Bar, and any time anything happens at or even NEAR my bar it's all over the papers 'the locker room sports bar'... however anytime anything happens at ANOTHER bar it's very rare that the bar ever gets its name ran through the mud? Where is the justice?!? lol
