It's official, Bill Brizendine has resigned his position at St. Mary's High School, and Friday night the Pleasants County school board accepted his resignation.
Last week the 51-year-old former counselor and coached plead guilty to one count of third degree sexual assault.
This follows accusations of sexual misconduct with a female student volunteer before a wrestling match last fall.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 15.
