Partners in Crime?

Authorities see them as partners in crime; together two Parkersburg men have racked up charges in Williamstown, Marietta, Vienna and Belpre.

Thursday night, Terley Clegg, Jr. and Steven Lemon surface back in court with more charges lodged against them. In November, Marietta firefighters battled a multi-million dollar blaze that destroyed businesses on Front Street. Authorities made two arrests but only charged one person with arson.

Thursday a second person has a felony arson charge against him in addition to more area crime. Steven Lemon of Parkersburg was indicted in Washington County court for complicity to commit aggravated arson. His alleged accomplice, Terley Clegg, Jr., was already charged with aggravated arson in the case.

Clegg also faces a breaking and entering charge, and two counts of theft. Lemon now faces the arson charge, two counts of theft and one count of breaking an entering.

Last month area business owners were outraged that Clagg's bond was dropped from $105,000 to $5,000. Lemon's bond was set at $5,000. Both suspects are free Thursday night.
