A man police believe is responsible for many of the recent burglaries in Marietta is behind bars and facing charges, but police say there's still more work to do to put an end to the burglaries.
25-year-old Shaun Griffin was arrested last week in connection with stealing a Porsche.
Griffin is now facing two more burglary charges after Marietta police detective Troy Hawkins says Griffin admitted to stealing a gun from one residence, and copper wire from an abandoned home.
Griffin remains in the Washington County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Police say there are other burglaries that Griffin did not admit to, and they're still working to track down other suspects
"We feel that he was probably responsible for some of them, but we've not let up on any of our efforts in trying to solve the ones that he did not take responsibility for," Detective Hawkins said.
He says there is promising evidence that other suspects will be caught.
