The thought of aging isn't one most people like to think about, but Thursday, many came together to show that it's actually something worth celebrating.
Nearly every chair was full at the 13th annual Celebration of Age conference, organized by Marietta Memorial Hospital's 55 plus program.
It was a day of relaxation and emotional recharging.
Those who attended say the event is educational and fun.
"It's a way to get together with all the people that you volunteer with in different places," Marilyn Kartz said.
"I truly enjoyed the presentation that the doctor gave. He was wonderful," Sheila Graham said.
The conference is made possible through grant funds from Sam Cook, in memory of his late wife, Dori Cook.
