Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- The Division of Highways is seeking proposals for a study on whether the agency needs a new testing facility.
The agency is willing to pay up to $75,000 for the study, which is to look at different types of testing facilities and whether they are publicly or privately owned.
DOH spokeswoman Karen Zamow says a new facility would be research-oriented and would focus on long-term evaluations, rather than the current testing of materials.
The agency has set a Dec. 1 deadline to accept proposals.
