Snakehead Fish Solution?

A predatory species of fish discovered less than three weeks ago in West Virginia may be susceptible to a herbicide that's being tested in a pond in Crofton, Maryland.

Northern snakehead fish are from China.

They're voracious and can travel across land and live out of water for up to three days.

Maryland natural resources applied Diquat Glyphosate to kill the fish.

The two herbicides kill plants, which produce the oxygen needed for the fish.

If successful, the remedy may provide clues on how to rid other areas of snakehead fish outbreaks.
