Morgantown, W.Va. (AP) -- The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a plane crash that killed a pilot from Alexandria, Va.

Searchers found the piper pa-30 twin engine and the body of Kwan Sze Kwok in the mountains of southern West Virginia on Tuesday.

Although authorities did not release his age or hometown, pilot certification records at the Federal Aviation Administration show only one Kwan Kwok.

According to the records, Kwok had been certified as a commercial pilot for at least five years, rated for single- and multiengine aircraft, instrumental aircraft and rotorcraft helicopters.

Kwok left Texas Nov. 22, but FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford says he wasn't reported missing until Nov. 28.

It was windy, cloudy and drizzling around the time he went missing.

This is shocking and very sad. Kwan Kwok was a GREAT GUY, neighbor and friend. He was very low key but brilliant and engaging. He went to Harvard and MIT and he loved adventure and excitement. He lived life to the fullest and parachuted out of airplanes some 3OO times. He loved to fly and taught others how to fly, as well. He flew almost every weekend. If he could not soar high with the eagles then he could drive his Lamborghini or 3OOOGT close to the ground. If he wanted to play, he could fly around on his Harley, as well. He was a good son and brother. We have lost a wonderful person as in his career he was producing things for the betterment of mankind. It's sad for someone so young to die like this. It's heartbreaking. At least he died doing what he loved, flying. He will be missed by those he touched. Rest in Peace, Kwan.
