Eleanor, W.Va. (AP) -- A Putnam County kindergarten teacher has been charged with abusing her daughter after the child got a B at school.
Lura Fisher of Eleanor was arrested Wednesday.
She remains free on a $25,000 bond.
Putnam County Sheriff's deputies say Fisher made her daughter stand outside their house after getting a B in class.
Police say the girl threw up, and Fisher made her carry the vomit indoors and dispose of it.
Police say Fisher also slapped her daughter and beat her with a belt.
Putnam County school board member Debbie Phillips says Fisher has been suspended from her job at Hometown Elementary School.
A man at Fisher's residence said Thursday she has no comment.
A call to her lawyer was not immediately returned.
Police say the child has been removed the home.
