Lima, Ohio (AP) -- A man already serving a life sentence for murder admitted that he killed another inmate at an Ohio prison last February.
A judge on Wednesday sentenced Michael Phillips to 15 years to life in prison in the killing at the Allen Correctional Institution in Lima.
Phillips told investigators he believed the other inmate was out to get him.
Authorities say he beat Scott McKinney to death with a metal pipe.
Phillips already was serving a life sentence on aggravated murder and abduction charges out of Ross County.
He's been in prison since 1997.
McKinney had been in prison since 1991 and was serving a 15-years-to-life murder sentence from Miami County.
