Arrests Pending in Connection with Meth Lab

Washington County officials are investigating a possible meth lab that's expected to lead to several arrests.

Monday afternoon, Elizabeth Abraham was taken into custody after officials found ingredients for a meth lab in the basement of her Mitchell's Lane home.

Abraham's husband, James Abraham, is also being questioned at this time.

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says the evidence indicates there has been at least one active meth lab in the house.

He says producing meth can actually be even more dangerous than using it.

"If something goes wrong you can have an explosion. That's why our guys are dressed in tyvek suits. They have masks, air containers, because if you get a whiff of that and it goes into your lungs, it can literally freeze your lungs and completely destroy you," Sheriff Mincks said.

Investigators are also questioning another woman in connection with supplying an ingredient for the meth.

I met Elizabeth briefly at her work and she truly seemed high on life, rather than meth. It's too bad she chose the "easy" way out to deal with life's problems, whether hers or others. Unfortunately, we all use various means of "escape," but some of those choices truly hurt other people that we love or don't even know. Author & Pastor Rick Warren says that God planned and created each of us to live this life in preparation for the next. If that is true, and I believe it is, then the decisions we make in this life are eternal. Thank God for his mercy for only He can give true forgiveness.

No matter what we do in this life we will be judged at the end. Everyone has their opinion and that is our right. If you break the law you pay the price. I hope Liz finds help to make a good change needed. Drug free and high on life. Everything we do is a choice and we will be responsible for it sooner or later. No need to be hateful about it because you never know what kind of situation you might find yourselve in someday. A little prayer will be said that his glory will come out of this and not ours.

I met Elizabeth in the office that I work in. I am SHOCKED that she would choose to live type of lifestyle. I felt sorry for her because of the things she told me about her life, only to find out that she is a junkie. I now feel sorry for her son that is or was fighting in the war for her and everyone else here in the USA. While he is over there protecting her she is killing herself. There is no reason for anyone to think that they have to do drugs of any kind to survive. From the looks of some of these comments she had several friends that could have helped her with this. I thought she was a very nice and level headed woman who had her stuff together regardless of what was happening in her life. My life has been hard for the last 2 years but I chose to deal with it and go on. I think that if people actually got a punishment of some kind for drugs they would be able to cut down more on the problem. These drug users know that they will get a slap on the hand the first few times

To everyone that is assuming that these people were drug pushers, did you ever think that they were doing this for their own habit? I do not agree with what these people did in any way and not to mention all the people they put in harms way around them, but I think everyone will soon hear another story. One that will tell that she was not a drug pusher but a user. I hope that she gets help!!

Wow..talk about secret lives..respectable citizens to many ~ exposed as drug pushers to the public. Wonder what their motivation was behind their decision to manufacture meth?? because it WAS their CHOICE!! Maybe they can write a book from prison & have the proceeds go to the lives they helped destroy by their actions..Nice work Washington County Drug Task Force!! Keep the busts coming!!

for those of you who know liz, she's a good person. yeah, she was busted for a meth lab but that was a huge shocker. liz has been going through a lot at this point in time and in no way does that give her reason to do what she's done but we are all human and make very stupid mistakes in life. for those of you that don't know her she has a very big heart, worked a good job, had a great family, and was an amazing friend. she's always been someone i could talk to on a bad day and she brought me right up. i pity anyone who judges her because one day we will all be judged. whether or not you've had a meth lab, we've all gone through stuff in our life that's led us to depression, gluttony, alcoholism, smokin dope, poppin some pills..etc. point is life is hard at times and we make mistakes. who gets caught doin what they do is a different story. God is love and love is real.

I dont care what these people "DID" for you at some point in your life. Fact is they are low life drug pushers and users...no different from any other criminal that deals in meth. They will do some serious time and will lose what they have and will be forever labled as criminals and that was their choice

Both people have helped me and I think they just made the wrong choices in their lifes journey. For those of you that have no idea who these people shame on you everyone has sketetons in the closet take a good look at yourselves first then pass judgement because in the end GOD is the only one that can judge them.
