If you want to deer hunt on Blennerhassett Island this fall you have about a week to turn in your application.
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will be accepting applications until Aug. 31.
You can get the applications at all DNR offices, or you can go online to www.dnr.state.wv.us and go under "forms."
Applicants must print them out, sign them and send them to the West Virginia DNR at PO Box 67, Elkins, West Virginia 26241.
The controlled hunt is scheduled for Oct. 28 through Oct. 30, and Nov. 7 through Nov. 9.
A random selection of 50 hunters will be chosen for each day.
