Columbus, OH (AP) -- Ohio State University Police Chief Paul Denton has identified the suspect in Tuesday's shooting at Ohio State University as 51-year-old Nathanial Brown, a custodial employee. Denton says Brown recently received a poor performance evaluation, but he declined to say if that was a motive for the shooting.

No students were hurt.

Denton says Brown was pronounced dead at Ohio State University Medical Center several hours after the shooting.

One of the victims, 48-year-old Building Services Manager Larry Wallington, died at the scene. The other is hospitalized in stable condition.

Debi, I guess you would agree then that it's foolish to not be alowed to carry a gun legally on school property. At least then you could defend yourself or someone else.

Pete- you are not allowed to shoot people either but it still happened. just because you are not allowed to have guns on school property does not mean they dont bring them anyway

Absolutely, let's think about these people and their families. However, just because it happened on a campus does imply all that goes with "campus violence". These are employees. Employee violence can happen anywhere.

The violence on college campuses is getting closer and closer to home. Let's remember the deceased and injured in our thoughts and prayers. God be with them.
