Charleston, W.Va. (AP) -- The search has resumed for a missing Kanawha County firefighter whose rescue boat flipped in a flooded creek near Beckley.

Marty Agee, Raleigh County's deputy director of emergency services, says Monday's search was expanded further along Piney Creek.

The firefighter was among a group sent from Kanawha County to assist with water rescues.

A boat carrying three firefighters flipped, and one of the men never surfaced.

A Bradley woman also died after being swept away in a flooded stream near her home Saturday.

Agee says representatives from the state and the Federal Emergency Management Agency are assessing hard-hit areas that include Beaver, Mabscott and Sullivan.
