The topic of health care reform continues to take center stage across the nation. The new law is more than 1,000 pages long, and many find it difficult to understand.

One specific group impacted by health care is senior citizens. We caught up with residents at the Wood County Senior Citizen Center about their thoughts on health care.

Although they have a variety of opinions about the issue, one thing they all agree on is the need for more details.

"They're not explaining' stuff the way it should be explained," Delbert Simons said.

"We just want more information. It's very confusing," Janet Frazier said.

"I've been watching' it pretty close, and of course there's a lot I don't know because I haven't read the bill," Charles Peck said.

Seniors are hearing multiple rumors about health care reform, and say they're having trouble separating fact from fiction.

That is the problem in this country. We don't have enough time to spend on the reel issues or the truth. (Because we are to busy arguing republican or democrat). Why can"t we do the right and moral thing that benefits the majority. Let the citizens decide without all the brainwashing what is best.

angry one, as though the liberal socialist democrats have not lied, or confused, or used race to get sympathy, or lied about being threatened. you need to watch something besides cnn, nbc, and cbs. get the real facts. conservatives as a whole are not racists, we are for the working people, no democrat is ever going to lower your income tax, but a republican will. and if a democrat says he will, he is lying, the tax is hidden somewhere else. as they are the party of taxation. also, racism has always been a democrat thing, they just recently adopted the race card.

Angry One, It's a shame you are so misinformed about so many things. You need to get your news from someone other than a sportscaster. The confusion stems from the left carrying out their socialist agenda under cover of darkness like the cowards they are. It is easy to see that you buy into the lie that conservatives are racist by nature. Nothing could be further from the truth. Lincoln was a Republican. Republicans staunchly supported the Civil Rights Act while the Democrats stood in the way. Never have I been offered a job by a poor man. Your hatred of people of means says a lot about you. What amazes me is that the darlings of the left have become wealthy under a Capitalist system and then turn into socialists when they have nothing to lose.

Is it any wonder they are confused? The Republican right wing, racist, flag waving, Bible thumping, Hypocrits have dispersed so so many lies, distortions and untruths, Re: this health care bill and President Obama ever since he became a candidate in this past election. The right wing has historically only been interested in protecting the rich & wealthy elite in this nation. They have always done these type of tactics when a beneficial program has been passed by the democrats, For example: Social Security, Medicare, Medicade, Food Stamps, Interstate Highway System, etc. etc etc. Many of you seniors are old enough to remember the implentation of these programs and the Republican oppisition to them. The major difference between "Then & Now", is today we have a much larger news media and false information is rampantly diseminated.
