Fatal Shooting Case Moves Forward

Several people are standing before a Wood County judge Monday in connection with a fatal shooting.

Daniel Dickel was in court Monday morning where he was expected to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary.

The charge stemmed from an incident in September when 19-year-old Chris Dickel was shot and killed at a Pettyville apartment.

Daniel Dickel chose not to enter the plea, which means he isn't facing any charges at this time.

The case will now be reviewed by the prosecutor's office to be considered for grand jury.

Scott Gough and Shane Dye are expected in court Monday afternoon, also in connection with the shooting.

Listen....Its sounds like Shane should maybe spend some time in jail to really think about what he has done....Maybe he should finally realize that he needs a change of scenery in his life, along with a new group of peers...it is only then can he move on with his life....It seems like all of these boys are not willing to get jobs, stop drinking and drugs, and get mature about life, in other words make those dreaded "BIG BOY" decisions!!!!, that is the reality of the situation, and one boy is dead because of it!

Who would the guilty one be? Looks like the only ones possible of being guilty have been arrested.

Seems to me that when 4 ppl kick in someones door...there is a chance that something bad is going to happen. I am sorry for his family's loss...but as my daddy always taught me..."Actions carry consequences...so think before you act." I think as a group they failed to use their better judgement...and the consequences are unfortunate...but at just that...consequences.
