A local man dies in an early morning construction accident, at Allegheny Energy's Pleasants County power plant.
The individual did not work for the power company.
37-year-old Kinsey Culp of Marietta ... was an employee of Maryland-based Pullman Power Company.
Culp, and another employee...were working on a construction project at a plant chimney, located between the power plant's two smokestacks...when he fell more than two hundred feet.
The Pleasants County Sheriff's Department says Culp suffered serious head injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Allegeny Energy Spokesman Allen Staggers says this accident happened shortly before seven o-clock this morning.
The sheriff's department and the West Virginia State Police responded to the scene shortly after the fall.
An official from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration arrived at mid-afternoon to begin a formal investigation of the accident.
The individual was working on the construction of the chimney for an environmental emissions control project.
