The murder weapon authorities believe killed a Ravenswood man was found late Friday night is currently a a forensics lab for testing.
Ravenswood Police Chief Paul Hesson says the hammer they believe was used to kill 35 year old Mohamed Mahrous was found in the Ohio River.
Hesson says a Ripley resident who donated his time and specialized dive equipment, discovered the hammer.
As for the investigation, Hesson says police do know the motive for the murder, but are not releasing that information at this time.
The suspects in the crime, Rosann Osborne and Larry White are scheduled to appear in Jackson County Magistrate Court for preliminary hearings on September 27th.
