History lovers in Marietta got a chance to see the first president of the United States at the Campus Martius Museum Saturday afternoon.

George Washington, impersonated by Charles Bell, made a special appearance talking about his life as president, frontier commander, revolutionary war general and so much more.

Everyone in attendance got to learn first hand about the myths and little known facts of our first president.

It's a good way for people to get a inside scoop of the success and struggles Washington faced throughout his life.

"I think probably the thing that's most forgotten is that he was an innovative farmer and he worked with different types of soil, different types of crops and he also did a lot things with taking fertilizers and manures seeing where they would grow best," says Bell.

The presentation was sponsored by Washington County Public Library, Campus Martius and Ohio River Museums.
