A head-on collision involving two cars had one driver being transported to the Camden Clark Medical Center Friday afternoon.
Wood County Sheriff's Office were called out to Lake Washington Road at around 3:30.
Deputies say one of the cars crossed the center line and struck the other head-on.
The female driver of one of the cars was transported to Camden Clark with non life threatening injuries. No word on her condition at this time.
The other female driver refused medical treatment
Deputies also say both of the cars appeared to be heavily damaged, but luckily both drivers were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
"I think it's important to stress that the use of safety belts is extremely important. All occupants of motor vehicles are required to wear safety belts and again, you can see the importance of wearing a seatbelt in this serious accident here that seatbelts do save lives," says Washington Bottom Volunteer Fire Chief, K.C. Linder.
The Washington Bottom Volunteer Fire Department and the Camden Clark EMT were also there assisting the accident.
The crash is still under investigation.
