UPDATE: Names Released in Fatal Accident On Route 47

Hope Wyman, 37, of Elizabeth, died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident early Monday afternoon.

Her 10 year-old son was taken to Camden Clark Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.

The other passenger, 62 year-old Pamela Ahart, was also taken to CCMC and is expected to survive.

The Wood County Crash Team is investigating, but preliminary reports point to wet road conditions as a cause for the wreck.

Route 47 has re-opened to traffic.

One person is dead following a Monday afternoon accident on Rt. 47 in Wood Co.

Authorities say a SUV traveling westbound towards Parkersburg overturned, ejecting one person. That person died in the accident.

Two others in the SUV, including a 10 year old boy, were taken to an area hospital.

Names and conditions have not been released.

Route 47 remains closed.

A single vehicle accident has shutdown traffic on Rt. 47 at Leachtown Road.

Wood Co. 911 dispatchers say there were 3 passengers in the vehicle.

The crash happened around 1:15pm.

Injuries are not known at this time.

Law enforcement, firefighters & ems are all on the scene.
